Recently Announced: HPE SimpliVity with StoreOnce
New HPE SimpliVity features enable users to increase efficiency further, simplify management, and assist with scaling HCI environments. Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) recently announced that enterprises can now leverage HPE StoreOnce Systems to meet broader, more strategic objectives in HPE SimpliVity environments.
With this award-winning backup appliance, IT administrators can centralize their data and decrease business continuity expenses. HPE SimpliVity software release 4.0 includes integration of the HPE StoreOnce Catalyst client, meaning that users can now store VM backups on an HPE StoreOnce system. This process is as easy as backing up to a hyper-converged cluster and involves the same right-click actions, automated backups, and no additional software is needed. A significant benefit of HPE StoreOnce integration is that it helps to decrease data storage costs. During an HPE internal lab test, when customers moved their data to an HPE StoreOnce tier, they realized as much as 7x cost savings from $/GB perspective compared to storing VM backups on the SimpliVity tier.
