Experis Technology Group Announces Partnership with Cleversafe in Object Based Storage
Bethesda, MD, January 15, 2015 – Experis Technology Group partners with Cleversafe Inc., the industry-leading object-based storage provider, who last year announced its partnership with HP. Experis Technology Group (ETG) is a dedicated partner to HP and has experienced 15 years of success through this partnership specifically providing storage and server solutions to the Mid-Atlantic region.
The partnership between Cleversafe and HP allows HP’s partners, like ETG, to provide Cleversafe’s object-based storage software platform in conjunction with HP’s ProLiant Server portfolio. The unity of these three partners provides a solution that is comprehensive and cost-effective to address rapidly expanding unstructured data and archival storage needs to businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Today’s storage needs have reached the petabyte level and beyond. With object-based storage, data is stored as flexible-sized objects rather than the fixed block sizes used for storing data in traditional SAN arrays, making it more suitable for handling unstructured data or data in a cloud.
Cleversafe stores data by breaking it up into slices and distributing them across multiple storage nodes using HP Proliant Servers. This approach offers a high level of security since an unauthorized person who gains access to one slice can’t access the full data set.
