National Association Chooses Experis Technology Group and HPE to Replace Existing Cisco Edge Switches With The Aruba 3810 Layer 3 Switch

Potomac, MD —  Experis Technology Group, Inc. has been chosen to implement a comprehensive network solution for the remote offices of a national association.

Experis and HPE will be replacing the customers’ existing Cisco networking switches with the Aruba 3810 48port POE Switch.  The Aruba 3810 has Full PoE+ provisioning available on 48-ports.  Dual, redundant, hot-swappable power supplies and innovative backplane stacking technology help deliver resiliency and scalability in a convenient 1U form factor.  Also included, with no software licensing, are Advanced Layer 2 and 3 feature set with OSPF, IPv6, IPv4 BGP, Tunnel node, robust QoS, and policy based routing.

A main issue for the customer was installation because the customer does not have IT staff at the remote sites.  Aruba’s Zero Touch Provisioning for a branch office switch solves this big challenge at remote sites as it makes the deployment of branch office controllers plug & play.  Factory state branch office controllers can learn all the required information from the network and provision itself automatically in the Auto provisioning mode.

After an evaluation of Cisco and Aruba, it was determined that Aruba systems were easier to implement because of ZTP, had less expensive upfront costs, and included a lifetime warranty.
